Also known as the Brisbane International, the ATP tournament is one of the few events preceding the Australian Open. The tournament was actually played in Adelaide but with 2009 the event was moved to Brisbane. The ATP tournament is played on outdoor hard courts at the modern Queensland Tennis Centre (5,000 seats). Five male players hold the record for most titles won (two titles – Mike Bauer, Mark Woodforde, Nicklas Kulti, Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Lleyton Hewitt).
The total prize money is $486,000.
