The Chennai Open is an ATP 250 Event played every year in Chennai, Tamil Nadu province, India. The tournament is pretty new, the first edition being played in 1996. The event is contested on outdoor hard courts at the SDAT Tennis Stadium (5,800 seats).
The most successful players are Carlos Moya and Marin Cilic, both winning the trophy two times. This year the total prize money is $450,000.
