ATP Nice Open
The ATP Nice Open (known in French as the “Open de Nice Côte d’Azur”) is an ATP 250 tournament played on outdoor clay courts at the Nice Lawn Tennis Club. The event was first played in 1971 and it was part of the Grand Prix tennis circuit.
However, the tournament was not played every year and it was stopped in 1995. The ATP decided that Nice will be the new host of the defunct ATP tournament from Kitzbuhel.
The 2011 edition:
- the tournament is played one week before the start of Roland Garros. Top seeds this year are David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych and Nicolas Almagro.
